THE FADING JAM
Medan is alive!
This movie is an absolut proof that we have somethings going on without many outsiders know it. It is a documentary movie titled "The Fading Jam", revolves around one of the most important event for medan's music scene "Lost In a Melody". This event became a starting line for many bands, such as Korine conception, The Cangis, Cherry Cola, Maktuo Dakilla, Hairdresser On Fire and many more. In this year "Lost In a Melody" celebrated the 8th Series, with galaxy theme and many new bands as line up. It really made an amusement for people who always loyalty come to the event, coz after 2 years of hiatus "Lost In A Melody" is come back and alive. Hopefully this movie could captured the passion of music and creativity, the struggling and the existence of a scene and a big family of ours.
"A brief glance to the past that made these present times sounds colorful as it is now. Lost In A Melody Series ; the hottest, sacred, and blessed alternative music gig on Medan, Indonesia." -
The Fading Jam was created by Alvi Ifthikar (who also directed "Imaji", u could watch his short movie on my previous post) and Fandi Abdullah (Former of Wavezine and Broken Dream Club).
This Retrospective movie containing important people's thoughts that involved in the early era of Lost In a Melody. Reza Pohan (Huria Records), Age (Vocalist of Korine Conception), Stanley and Hendy Arief (from The Cangis) and also from Bands that have played in this event. The Background music is a track "Taik 2" by The Cangis ( f.y.i : The Cangis titled their own song with taik 1 , taik 2, taik 3 and so.. )
I'm looking forward to watch it.. but meanwhile this is the trailer of "The Fading Jam". But i'll make sure to post it when it's ready.

A LOVE STORY IN AN ABSOLUT WORLD
This is a short movie by Spike Jonze who also directed Being John Malkovich (1999) and Where The Wild This Are (2009). How much would u sacrifice your precious things for someone u love? this movie effectively describing one love story between 2 robot Sheldon (Andrew Garfield) and Fransesca (Sienna Guillory). In their world, human and robot live side by side, Sheldon is a robot who works in a library, a very shy and lonely robot while Fransesca quite more free-spirited and severely clumsy which bring her to many accidents. Fransesca body parts wrecked one by one because her clumsiness and it really break Sheldon's heart so he gives up his body parts till the last one to fransesca. This movie premiered at Sundance and have screened around UK. To watch the movie u could go to the website http://www.imheremovie.com

Stunning Movie 2011 (Part 2)
Its plot revolves around a production of Swan Lake by a prestigious New York City ballet company. As is usual with all productions of the ballet, the production requires a ballerina to play both the innocent White Swan and the sensual Black Swan. One dancer, Nina (Portman), is a perfect fit for the White Swan, while Lily (Kunis) has a personality that matches the Black Swan. When the two compete for the parts, Nina finds a dark side to herself. Directed by Darren Aronofsky ( also known for directed The Fountain which i think one of the absurd movies i've watched ) and starring Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis. Surprisingly this is the best of Natalie Portman that i've ever watched, she caught into the character deeply and brilliantly, this movie would never get the same vibe if the role is not Portman's i guess, Natalie and Mila Kunis splendid collaboration make this movie perfect!
Natalie Portman as the character that really consumed by her own depression is breathtaking, okay.. no more words to explain, this movie is great and i praise portman and kunis's performance, i'm swept away!

Good Shites! (Part 2)
When i titled this post as Good Shites, well.. i do really mean it with this fuckin awesome band, they are called Deathface. The logos may be pure black metal, but don’t let that confuse you, no matter how abrasive, Deathface is all about the rave.
A new project from Guns ‘n’ Bombs‘ Johnny Love, Deathface first turned up with a surprisingly progressive-flavored remix of Buraka Som Sistema’s “IC19” back in 2009, but remixes for Circuit Freq and Bad Boy Bill and found him expressing a fondness for breakbeat hardcore. “The Horror” EP, released last spring on New York’s Trouble & Bass Recordings, best sums up the Deathface concept, with spine-tingling horrorcore anthems like “Murder Sound” and “We Still Kill the Old Way.” With more T&B releases coming up, we can only say: Be afraid, be very afraid. the song really make u want to make violation as much as u can! listen to their latest song Deathface - Gift Of Fury with addition a femme fatale voice in it! enjoy!

PAST
“I like men who have a future and women who have a past" (Oscar Wilde)
for 3, 5 hours i've been looking at all those photos. There are more that 900 photos in that account. So i looked at 'em one by one and started to filtering which one should stay or go. Then i started to realize something. All this photos are part of me, even though i'm having this account for just like 2 years but still i could find my pictures when i was a little girl tagged by someone else.
i was like thinking and laughing by myself remembering all those moments. Different places, different peoples, different styles and i realize how much things have changed. Everything started and then at one time it stopped, like all those people i always hung out with, some people aren't there anymore. They decided to go another pathway or i choose to, but the photos will always remind me that we were there and really having so much fun. Then some are pictured me doing something that i don't do anymore, yes.. we started doing something but at one time for some reasons something happened and we quit.
Well, whatever it is, the good or bad things that happen in the present in that different places or moments. i've seen our faces smile and happy together, so if we aren't there anymore, i will have those photos and gladly remember and thankful we've been there. Thanks for having me in your life and for stopping by in mine. I'm having such a good time together :)

Chances
When your brain has told yourself that it's time to get over everything, then do it. When you have told yourself to quit something. then do it. Your brain and your body is equipped with some natural alarm. Slipped from nearly death experience not gonna happen twice, well i did actually. But i'm pretty sure that's not gonna happen for the third time... so i'll cherish my life better this time!
"sing your life"
Others sang your life
But now is a chance to shine
And have the pleasure of
Saying what you mean
Have the pleasure of
Meaning what you sing
Oh, make no mistake my friend
All of this will end
So sing it now (sing your life)
All the things you love (sing your life)
All the things you loathe
Oh, sing your life
"sing your life"Others sang your life
But now is a chance to shine
And have the pleasure of
Saying what you mean
Have the pleasure of
Meaning what you sing
Oh, make no mistake my friend
All of this will end
So sing it now (sing your life)
All the things you love (sing your life)
All the things you loathe
Oh, sing your life
