"Working Class Hero"
I've prepared for this trip from middle of july and always excited about it day by day. So when the time is come i was like in a great fookin nerve wreckin situation. I'm so ready, my ticket booked, my concert ticket booked, i'm ready to go for Ian Brown but still... Nervous!
I was a little bit paranoid and prayed a lot so my flight right on time... so i could get to the venue and won't miss a thing, yes the flight was safe but here come another problem: it's Jakarta, it's friday, it's rush hour and it's raining.. Traffic Jam!
But anyway i made it to the concert with some great friends of mine. The concert scheduled at 8 o'clock but turns out the gate opened at 8.30. Then another freakin problem! my ticket! where is it?! my friend got it and he hasn't come yet.. i've tripled the nervous!
i'm waiting in vain but voila.... 9 pm, finally he showed up! we're in and ready for party!
this ticket had tripled my nervous

this ticket had tripled my nervousMe and my friend was checkin Kula Shaker and Ian Brown set list for that nite on www.setlist.fm. Turns out all the list was the same with their previous concert. First line up is Kula Shaker, i wasn't expecting anything from Kula Shaker because the main reason i come that nite is for Ian Brown, but Shite! they're too cool to be missed. The energy from Crispian Mills unbearable. They're playing like 14 songs with govinda as the climax and also covered Joe South and Daniel Johnston's song. Crispian Mills was like Duracell bunny, making unstopable aggresively stage act completed with a very skillful guitar playing, Amazing! At the end, Govinda just gimme this mystical shiver, with a very psychedelic visual and everyone just sing a long and raising their hand and mills as the commandant singing to the ultimate hits ever from Kula Shaker.
sorry for not excpecting u Kula Shaker, but u guys utterly awesome!
Next line up is the one i've been waiting for.. everyone on that show was hoping Ian Brown to play more Stone Roses's songs than his solo project. Me and my friend was moving closer to the stage! Ian Brown's roadies started to prepare and me noticing that all his roadies is old ,yeah they're too old to be roadies i guess, like somebody's granpas :)) but hey Ian Brown is old, eh?
The Show's begin Ian Brown showed up with his yellow training suit, remind me of bruce lee...
shite!!! i was like gonna cry, thinking "here's the maaaan i've been listening to for all these time, he's the frontman of Stone Roses the band i've been hailing for a long time... ". The first song "i wanna be adore" was drive people crazy as shit! but too bad the sounds not as good as the previous performer Kula Shaker, hey whatever.. i'm just too crazy to complaint about it at that time. Ian Brown was performing more than 10 songs, mostly from his solo and 2 Stone Roses cover and a song "keep what u got" that originally is a duet with Noel Gallagher. This man as we know has a very notable attitude on stage, arrogant bad arse with his "working class hero" t-shirt! some people who came at that nite waving england's flag, then he asked it to be thrown at him... then he trampled down his foot on it for like severals time, we're take it as a meaning he's disregarding his own national flag (later on i found out on his next show in Bali he's saying that "Manchester is not england!"). me waiting for the last 4 songs... and yes so did everybody. As F.E.A.R 's intro started we're drive ourself crazy again, continued with stellify and just like u. We're started to craving another Stone Roses's song again. Then Ian asked "Is there something that u want for me to do? like anything?". Oh well a retoric question it is.. coz he knew what we want, so that's it as the closing everybody just sing a long to Fools Gold.
By the way, both Kula Shaker and Ian Brown also spoken out their astonishment about "pawang hujan". They're amazed because they couldn't do such thing on England.. hahahaha!
great nite indeed!

IMAJI
SHORT MOVIE BY ALVI IFTHIKHAR
IMAJI PART I
IMAJI PART II
IMAJI PART III
IMAJI PART IV
One of the Medan's finest shortmovie from Alvi Ifthikhar, the plot revolve around The boy (redha amanta), who found himself being abandoned on the street with no memory at all. His journey starts when he found some clues in his bag which lead him to a vinyl store named Tokomusikgarasi. Turns out, on that store he met The Bro (Stanley Manurung) a very wise-wannabe man who tried to figure it out the story behind The Boy. Instead of searching The Boy's memories back, The Bro took him brainstorming about all the possibilities, about how he could get into the situation. Clue by clue appeared : mask, tie, gun, lipstick and then they try to made hypotesis from all the clues by imagining all that possibilities that could happen. Who is The boy in the past? a good person, a villain, a hitman or just a boy who fell in love with a wrong girl at the wrong time. At the end of the movie The Bro tried to convince The Boy that looking for the answer by asking his past is not the way out, beyond all the good and bad things that happened in the past, shits already happened so it's useless. The moral is stop looking back then seek your future.
How about the past?
just create it by using your imagination!
written and directed by Alvi Ifthikhar
produced by Ivan Makhsara, Fandi Abdullah and Alvi Ifthikhar
assistant director is Aubrey Fanani
edited by Alvi Ifthikhar and Nathania Devita
Main Cast : Redha Amanta (The Boy) and Stanley Manurung (The Bro)
What i love about this movie is naturally medan accent by Redha and Stanley!

W.T.F
Having nearly death experience is not something that u will forget in a night. I've been through many obstacles in life, but this one is bigger than dumping or being dumped by your lover or broke at the end of the month. I could be die last night!.
Everything was happen so fast, we were laugh all the way and suddenly everything splattered, like time stop for a while and everything goes in slow motion. i could see glasses from the our front car's windows crashed into smaller pieces clearly because everything was moving very slowly.
okay, first.. it's not easy for being concious and fully awake after all this, i still remember about it every single secs. I was shock as he was and now i'm the one who being blamed for your unreasonable reason? fuck man!
u dont know anything about it, u we'rent there for God's sake!
yeah i know, for all the good reason u were sorry for him and so do i. But it doesn't mean u could just blame it to me! especially in my unstability.
hey, what the fuck ? what the fuck with u?!

- I met new friends, it's always nice to talk with strangers and then become friends with 'em. Sometimes they have their own stories that really amazed or inspired me.
- World Cup, yeah what can i say, June is still belong to World Cup and this time i'm not taking part of it. But i really interested about "Paul" The Octopus wow, amazingly weird! that is the most coolest thing that happened in World Cup i guess :D

"Belong to June"
" music change, people change, even drugs change"
i always remember this line from trainspotting and i do believe everything in this universe changes all the time.
if u've read my previous post, u will find word 'change' a lot. have no clue why i did it, maybe it just the way how i remind myself about the existence of 'changes', so i always aware and ready for it.
But, there are things.. that not really change indeed. it happened before and somehow it belong to June. A few years ago, i felt the same way like i feel now, i through the same path like i did before and coincidentally both happened in june.
silly me aight? being so sensitive with this crappy blahblahblah.
i know what is also belong to june : World Cup!
Well, i'm not really in to football but i have a good time on the last world cup, good and romantic kind of way actually :)
so.. for u who is welcoming and celebrating World Cup 2010, enjoy! i'll pass this time!

UDANWATU (PART 2)
Still from an open source collaboration project called "UDANWATU", i posted before about this project and how far we (me and zarr) have done. Now the good news : the track is ready baby!
reza a.k.a zarr who is also bassist of Hairdresser On Fire transformed Adit bujbuneng's unfinished track from trip hop kinda sound into a harsh noisy un-enjoyable sound .
okay, no need further explanation, here are some photos from the session, we were using a very simple equipment, for vocal just a mic plugged in to a guitar effect that used as soundcard and then plugged it into computer, i dont know the details technically but surely thanks for 'robotic' our friends who helping the session.
